We adhere to the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Last updated 5 June 2026.

What we collect

When you shop with us or visit the site we may collect: your name, email, phone number, delivery and billing address; order and payment details (card details are processed by Shopify Payments and its providers, never stored by us); your date-of-birth confirmation from our age gate (we store only a yes/no verification cookie, not your date of birth); and technical data such as device, browser and pages visited.

Age verification

It is against the law to sell or supply alcohol to a person under 18. Our website asks for your date of birth before entry and our carriers require an adult signature on delivery. The age gate stores a verification cookie on your device for 30 days; the date of birth you enter is checked in your browser and is not transmitted to or stored on our servers.

Analytics and advertising

We use the following services, which set cookies or use similar technologies:

• Google Analytics 4: anonymised site usage and ecommerce analytics, so we understand how the store is used. IP addresses are truncated.
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram) pixel and Conversions API: measures the performance of our advertising and may be used to show you relevant ads on Meta platforms. Conversion events (such as a purchase) may be shared with Meta server-to-server, matched using hashed identifiers.
• Google Ads: conversion measurement and remarketing for our search and shopping campaigns.
• Shopify: our ecommerce platform sets cookies necessary for the cart, checkout and fraud prevention.

You can opt out of personalised advertising via Meta ad preferences, Google ad settings, and limit analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out. Blocking cookies in your browser may affect parts of the site such as the cart.

Email and SMS marketing

We only send marketing where you have opted in, and every message includes an unsubscribe link. Transactional messages (order and shipping confirmations) are sent to fulfil your order.

AI systems

Public pages of this website may be read by search engines and AI assistants so that customers can find accurate information about our distillery and awards. We do not provide your personal information to AI systems for training. Where we use AI-assisted tools in operating the business, they are not given access to customer personal information beyond what is needed to provide our services, and they are bound by the same confidentiality obligations as any supplier.

Disclosure

We disclose personal information only as needed to run the store: to our staff, delivery carriers (including Australia Post and couriers, who require an adult signature), payment processors, and the platform and advertising providers listed above. Some providers (including Shopify, Google and Meta) store data outside Australia; we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the APPs. We may disclose information where required by law.

Security and retention

Personal information is held in systems protected by encryption in transit and access controls. We keep order records for as long as tax and consumer law require, and delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed.

Access, correction and complaints

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you, or make a privacy complaint, by contacting us. We will respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied with our response you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
